The Power of Facebook

The Rats & Gassers FB Page was on fire the last few days. Total reach was over 45,000 which is up  by 923%! That's due to people liking and sharing the updated Rats & Gassers trailer video. Obviously Social Media is one way to get the word out about a film project and it's amazing seeing it first hand on your own work.

Pleasantly surprised by all the "likes" and "shares" the revamped Rats & Gassers Trailer has gotten on Facebook. Over 43,000 views in two days! It is humbling. 

Rats & Gassers The Series

Got the pitch for The Series almost ready. Burning DVDs and getting artwork and screen shot set. Gonna mail out a little booklet too. Fingers crossed. This will be the best way to get this film out and onto networks. I may make less money in the long run, but this is all about the builders.. 

Rats & Gassers The Series?

After chipping away for months on the editing of Rats & Gassers: Kustom Kulture Takes A Ride, I have become convinced that editing the 64 plus hours of this film down to a mere 1.5 hours is impossible. So are we talking DVD or TV Series? I decided to start shopping the R&G as a Series. I mean the content is incredible and why not? So 4-5 DVDs? 6-7 TV Episodes?

Reason 7?

So it seems Reason 7 will not work on my computer- fuck! The website says Dual Core Macs and mine is a Core Duo, but in actuality, Reason will only work on machines running Lion, which is only operational on Mac Core 2 Duo computers. So now I am locked into making two more payments for software I can not currently use. Fuck-ity fuck fuck fuck!

4th Of July

Had a relaxing 4th. I actually had the day off work, so the wife and I went to a friends BBQ. After a kick ass meal of Salmon, home made breads, sauteed mushrooms, veggies, chips and cake, we all headed down to Downtown Edmonds to watch the annual fireworks display. This year was exceptional with a thirty minute show for the large crowd. This was the first year we didn't hang with our kids, but being young adults they preferred to spend the day with their friends.

Reason 7

Made the plunge today and purchased the latest update to Propellerhead's legendary Reason software. In this latest version you can actually sync the program to external MIDI hardware (a feature that has been mysteriously missing from the program since it's inception).  For me this means I can sync my drum machines to the program for precise recording and also use Reason 7 live to sync my guitar pedal boards via MIDI to the tempo of the track (very useful for multi-tap delays and live loops). Should take delivery in a few days. Once again I purchased from Sweetwater.com, who offers an excellent three payment option, to split your purchase into three monthly payments on your credit card.
