New Car Kulture DeLuxe Magazine

I have two...two articles in the new Car Kulture DeLuxe and we got the cover! Awesome photographers Chris Gomez and Ralph Gayle and models Griffin Cooper and Kitty Mansfield! The cover article is from our coverage of the Rebel Riot in Tacoma. The other is a feature about Chuck Backman's 1955 Chevy Gasser, a car that was in my last feature film Rat Rod Rockers!

Billetproof Northwest 2013

Had a great time at the 2013 Billetproof Car Show in Chehalis, WA. We set up a vendor booth for Go-Kustom Rekords & Films and I did some filming for Go-Kustom TV and Rats & Gassers: Kustom Kulture Takes A Ride. Primarily I wanted to interview Alan Galbraith, who is the main force behind this series of shows and vintage drag race events. The weather was excellent with temperatures in the 80's and solid sunshine. This was truly amazing, given we had massive amounts of rain right up until Friday morning.

Family took me to the Museum of Flight in Seattle for Fathers Day yesterday.  Never been before. Amazing place! Got to see my favorites a P-38 and P-51 up close in the WWII display. Anything that flies was covered - Antique, Vintage Commercial,   WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam,  History Of Boeing, Aerospace, etc. etc. We are going to go back soon. Too much to absorb in one day.

Proto-Rat Rods

Don't let the Hot Rod History Revisionists™ fool you. Most current "Rat Rods" have more in common with the old "Hot Rods" than any "Street Rod" or many of the high buck "Traditional Hot Rods" ever do or will. The photo research I have been doing  through various archives on the internet (for my film Rats & Gassers: Kustom Kulture Takes A Ride) really bare this out.

Reason 6.5 Repeat Looper Rack Extension

Ahhh someone (actually Ochen K.) has finally released a looper Rack Extension for Reason. This is something I have been waiting for months. It's similar to a looper pedal in concept, but made as a virtual "Rack Extension." If you are a Reason user you should check this cheap ($19.00) but very effective RE out!

1958 Or 2013?

Classic Beauty. Cara Mia is one of the most stunning models currently working. She has a bit of Liz Taylor mixed with a bit of Bjork and then her own unique look and style that defies categorization thrown on top. I would not be surprised if she doesn't become the next breakout tattoo'd model like Sabina Kelley. Also she is a sweetheart and very easy to work with. We shot this one at Steve Leary's shop with his 1929 HEMI Whippet in the background.

Kustom Kulture Fest 2013

We headed on over to the Clearwater Casino for the 5th Annual Kustom Kulture Fest. This is an annual event that started as a Pin-Up Pageant and Car Show. This year included performances by 15 bands )many from the Splatterhouse Wreckords Label) including Hard Money Saints, Hot Roddin' Romeos and Back Alley Barbers. This was a different venue from the previous years and the Casino parking area seemed to have more cars this year than last year. The bands sounded awesome and the mood was upswing as the crowd gawked at the Pin-Ups, Kustoms, Hot Rods and wares brought by various Vendors (including us).
