W2 Taxes

Spent most of the day looking for paperwork to complete our now defunct Art Schools employee W2s. We had three teachers, so once I found all the components and numbers I needed, it wasn't a major headache, it was just finding the paperwork in various boxes. We packed our school in a hurry and some things got put in unmarked boxes or in our storage unit. This is one aspect of running a small business that I always hated.

Inner Demons Bull Skull Logo

Spent an hour or so working on the D.A. Sebasstian & Inner Demons logo to make it more lo-fi looking. This was mostly done in Photoshop with the Stamp effect and some selective cutting and pasting. I wanted something that would be easy to get a tattoo of (I will be getting one soon). I like it!

Go-Kustom TV Editing

Still working on Go-Kustom TV Season 5 - Episode 1. This is taking longer than planned. I added a second monitor to my laptop editing system via the DVI monitor out to my TV/Monitor HDMI in. Two monitors are so much better for video editing and music production.

Fender Mustang Floor Effects Pedal

Ordered a Fender Mustang Floor effects pedal to run my Hellcat VI through. This thing emulates the older Fender amps very accurately and this will be a great addition to my Line 6 Bass POD XT Live that I use for the lower end of my Hellcat sound. Right now I am splitting my Bass/Baritone's signal into two channels and running one side through the Bass POD and the other through a Boss FDR-1 and Boss FRV-1. I will add the Mustang before the other two Boss pedals and eventually end the chain with a Lexicon MX200 (for final reverb). This should give me the flexibility to get any bass or guitar types sound my little heart desires.

Lots Of Fog In Seattle

We have been having a week plus of froggy weather in and around Seattle- which is very unusual. Normally we get a day or a maybe morning  a few times a year, but this has been day and night endess fog. Reminds me of The Mist...

Snake & Mongoose

New issue of Elapsed Times Magazine has The Snake & Mongoose Funny Cars on the cover, with a full article about the life long rivalry/friendship between Tom "The Mongoose" McEwan and Don "The Snake" Prudhomme. The article also mentions the new feature film coming out this Spring/Summer entitled Snake & Mongoose. Sooo cool! As a kid the Hot Wheels versions of these two funny cars were a major influence on me becoming a gearhead. About time someone did a film about these icons.

Go-Kustom TV Sample

Finished the Go-Kustom TV Sample Clip. This is actually the rough first few minutes of Season 5 - Episode 1 that I have been getting inquiries about from broadcasters in Europe, with a promo info ending. Shows the style I will be using in the new season. Now I just have to finish editing the shows!

Happy New Year!

Stayed in with the wife this year and watched the Space Needle firework show on stream on the computer. 2012 was a real complicated year for me. My friend (and actress in my first feature film Hot Rod Girls Save The World), Kimberly Lynn Layfield was gunned down at the Cafe Racer, we shut down out Arts School (a business my wife had run since 1997) and I was unemployed for nearly five months. Still I  completed filming my documentary (Rats & Gassers: Kustom Kulture Takes A Ride), rekindled my Go-Kustom TV Show and found some cool new musical tools with Reason 6.5. I am definitely looking forward to the new year.
