American Thrill Ride - The Movie

Finished the cover art layouts for Chris Darland's new film American Thrill Ride - The Movie. I did not take the pictures nor place the American flag behind the 1955 Chev Gasser, but did front and back layouts (including text and smaller font choices). I met Chris during the filming of Hot Rod Girls Saves The World. He choreographed the fight scenes in the middle section and starred as Freddy, leader of the Dahmer Gang. Chris is also building my 1966 Charger Gasser in his shop called Chris' Hot Rod Garage. Chris asked if I could help him with the layouts and I said "Certainly!' Took around five hours to do. The pic on the right doesn't show the back cover which has film synopsis and additional movie stills. We will carry American Thrill Ride later this year in our Go-Kustom online catalog. I also interviewed Chris about his shop and film in my new documentary Rats & Gassers: Kustom Kulture Takes A Ride, which should be out early 2013.

Go-Charger Project Update

Chris Darland just sent me these pics of my '66 Dodge Charger build. Right now Chris is getting the 383 set up with a new oil pan and engine paint. Little by small, this will be a driver someday...and a movie car for The Legend Of D.B. Petty.

Go-Charger Update

Got to see my '66 Dodge Charger Gasser in he flesh (or sheet metal) for the first time yesterday and the day before at Chris' Hot Rod Garage in Medford, Oregon. We went down to film Chris for my new documentary. Chris has been slowly building my car as I slowly pay for it. The Chargers stance is sooooo bad ass!

Go-Charger Updates

383 from Dodge Monaco

Trim piece.

Go-Charger on left, new deck lid on right.
Chris Darland sent me some new pics of the Go-Charger (1966 Dodge Charger Gasser) build he is doing for Go-Kustom Films. The car is for The Legend Of D.B. Petty which I hope to shoot sometime in he near future. I have been sending small payments to Chris for a few years now and we are getting close. He just bought some body parts from a few donor Charger and got a 383 from a Dodge Monaco. Eventually this will be a HEMI car- but the 383 could work for initial filming, with the HEMI for close-ups.
