Rats & Gassers Editing
Two stills from last nights editing of Rats & Gassers: Kustom Kulture Takes A Ride. I have been using FinalCut Pro directly to adjust color and contrast rather than doing it in Photoshop and then importing to FCP.

Just took delivery of the first batch of new Rats & Gassers T Shirts yesterday. I decided to go with a blood red, black and white color scheme on dark grey (charcoal) colored shirts. As always these are available on our website

Mr. Nasty

Went out to Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA. yesterday to take some action pics of Big Tom McDonald's "Mr. Nasty" Henry J Gasser for a magazine article I am writing. The weather was excellent and the track was busy with drivers storming down the 8th mile track. This is the same locale we filmed the drag race scenes of the '55 Chevy racing the '56 T-Bird for Rat Rod Rockers!

Big T's Henry J Gasser With Jean Viva
I am going through the massive amounts of stills, pics and video footage for Rats & Gassers: Kustom Kulture Takes A Ride. Came across these from last years shoot with Big T and Carla McDonald's Henry J Gasser (model Jean Viva), which is a great build. Big T has massive knowledge as a builder and put this bad boy together in a matter of months. When I interviewed him in late 2011 the Henry J was still in pieces (you can see it behind him during the interview) and by mid-2012 he was racing it!

Go-Kustom TV Season 5, Episode 1
Been working on Rod Hill's interview about his 1962 Studebaker Gasser for Go-Kustom TV Season 5, Episode 1. This was from the Rat Bastards Slaughterhouse car show. An extended version of this clip will also be in my upcoming film Rats & Gassers: Kustom Kulture Takes A Ride. My editing schedule has slowed down a bit due to me working full time again and the Holidays. My foot has been bugging me the last week as well. Don't know what I did to it, but it feels like my big to on my right foot is broken or something. Been taking lots of Ibuprofen.

Fixed the Meat Wagon II
My 1/25th scale 1960 Chrysler Hearse Gasser Concept, "Meat Wagon II" that I had built for my film/story Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross, got severely damaged, this year. It started when I dropped it at a car show I had taken it too and then got beat up worse in our move from our Arts School. The MWII had been sitting in a box with the leg cutter blade broken off, front axle off, rear bumper off and body apart for months. After re-assembling I added a moon tank on the grill. Almost as good as new.

Rats & Gassers Filming
Went out to South Hill, Washington (down past Tacoma) to film Willie Rakes' 1937 Chrysler Gasser- a truly unique car. We shot stills of the Chrysler by an abandon school house, then off to an industrial side street to get some moving shots of the "Rat Killer" in action. Finally we went out to Willy's secluded home to film an interview about the build. Excellent day (and night) of filming for Rats & Gassers: Kustom Kulture Takes A Ride.

Filming For Rats & Gassers @ Billet Proof Hot Rod Eruption Drags
Had a blast out in Toutle, Washington at the fourth Annual Billet Proof Hot Rod Eruption Drags. This remote 1/8 mile drag strip hosted bare knuckle heads up vintage drag racing all weekend. The set up was very well organized, with staff cleaning any oil spills, etc. Hundreds of cars, Hot Rods, Gassers, Vintage Rails, Mini-Bikes, Kustoms and everything in between. This is a must attend event for Vintage Drag Racing fans.

Rats & Gassers Filming
Went over to Chuck Backman's place to interview him for Rats & Gassers: Kustom Kulture Takes A Ride yesterday. The weather was overcast with sun breaks, but no rain- thank you very much! Did a nice little sit down interview with Chuck about his 1955 Chevy Gasser for my documentary, then model Kitty Mansfield and photographer Ralph Gayle came over to do a shoot with Chuck's '55 for a national car magazine (can't say which one yet). Kitty looked awesome paired up with the big green Chevy. I got a glimpse of a few pics on Ralph's camera and was blown away! Can't wait to see the full shoot on disc and in print!

Go-Kustom TV @ Greenwood Car Show 2012
We headed out early yesterday to Greenwood (in North Seattle) for the 2012 Greenwood Car Show. This is one of the biggest car shows in the Northwest. Even with the on again off again rain, turnout was excellent. Our Go-Kustom booth was inundated with interested car show peeps. I did feature interviews on several cars including several seen in the video stills to the right. I am really happy with my new Canon HF G10 camcorder. Light weight with great features. So far we are 3 for 3 for rained on car shows.

Some ride got to park inside, tho space was limited |

Even with the serious rainfall, many open and no window rides came out to play. One couple wore fisherman coveralls and drove for hours to get their roadster to the show! That is some serious Hot Rodding! If you want it bad enough, you will make it happen- ya know. We are used to rainouts in the Northwest, so far Go-Kustom TV's first two car shows included lots of rain.
