Evil Undead Girlfiend Promo Stills

Finally got time to edit some more promo stills for the Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross book/film/graphic novel project. Husband and wife photographer team Zombie Crush took the original pics around 3 years ago (with white backdrop), with models Becky Lee (as Ingvar Chienne) and Smookie Tiger (as Issa Kross) .  The purpose was to flush out the characters looks, costumes and stance, helping me to write the stories and giving potential publishers/comic artists strong visuals to work with. For this set I wanted Issa to have a green/gold tone and Ingvar (her nemesis) to have a blue/grey tone. I think it works. The guns were "DieselPunk" designs I got off Etsy and are just painted and modified toy and Nerf guns. I did all the graphics and backgrounds. The skye were shots I took in Seattle with my cheap Fuji digital camera. The green slabs behind Issa were close-ups of moss covered cemetery markers in North Seattle. Issa is also holding a Dodge/Plymouth style pistol grip shifter as an impromptu weapon.

My Music in New Hot Rod Film

My song Evil Undead Girldfiend is featured in the trailer for Cal Thorley's new Hot Rod Film, The South which chronicles various builders in the south of New Zealand which is Cal's home turf. Gorgeously shot, I am really excited to be associated with this project. You can see the trailer on Vimeo.

Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross

Started messing with the graphics style for the Evil Undead Girlfiend graphic novel and motion comic. Did this in Final Cut Pro 7 using several filters...

Evil Undead Girlfiend Pre-Production Movie Poster

Did the first version of the movie poster for Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross. I have been slowly scripting this one and am considering doing it as a graphic novel and motion comic before a regular film.

My Movie Posters

Got a test poster for my forthcoming film Choper Chicas in the mail yesterday. Had to put it with my other two films on my studio wall. I still need to do one for Evil Undead Girlfiend-:The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross. Chopper Chicas is on the front burner now tho. I think I am developing a poster graphics style.

Evil Undead Girlfiend & Chopper Chicas

Now that Rat Rod Rockers! is officially out in a few festivals and on DVD, I have been getting scripts ready for Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross and Chopper Chicas. All my stories are loosely related by the town where they occur- Anywhere, Washington, so in a way it's like writing one big story as opposed to two smaller stories. I may have several cross-over characters between Rat Rod Rockers!, Evil Undead Girlfiend, Chopper Chicas and Hot Rod Girls Save The World ... I haven't decided yet. Dutch Von Henry (played by Tony Ririe) is in both Hot Rod Girls and Rat Rod Rockers! All stories qualify as part of The Anywhere Archives Series. You might ask- why did you make all the stories happen in the same crappy little town? My answer would invariably be- why not? I have been in solid character development for both Chopper Chicas (with Heidi Van Horne & Monica Olive) and Evil Undead Girlfiend (with Smookie Tiger, Becky Lee & Karen Kougar). We will be posting both sets of pics for the character development on their respective sites when they are ready.

Chopper Chicas- Lead actress Heidi Van Horne has appeared in many TV series, including ER, The O.C., and Gilmore Girls. She is also a writer and prominent pin-up model gracing covers of several national magazines. Monica Olive is an accomplished actress appearing in short films Overheard in NYC and Checkmate. Heidi is also working as co-producer on this film. Shannon Brooke shot the character development pics that will be online shortly.

Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross- Becky Lee appeared in my last film Rat Rod Rockers! as Veronika Lakester (the flag girl) and is a prominent pin-up model with feature articles in dozens of magazines. Smookie Tiger has a long background in modeling and has worked with numerous professional agencies and photographers. Karen Kougar is an adult film star with numerous films to her credit.
Check the films websites for updates.

Evil Undead Girlfiend & The Meat Wagon II

Finished the 1/25th scale "Meat Wagon II" 1960 Chrysler New Yorker Hearse Gasser for Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross. The leg cutter blade was a pain in the arse. I used a real Dremel metal cutting blade and various plastic pieces to build it. The idea is the blade pops out from under the Hearse to cut people just above the ankle incapacitating them and enabling Invar (female Igor character) to toss them into the back of her "Meat Wagon II" and then take said potential lab rat into see the good ol' Evil Doctor for a bit of experimentation. I am hoping we can build the real car in the next year or two- if we can finance the film. Also added some basic art work to the Evil Undead Girlfiend website. I am still sorting through all the excellent pictures of Smookie Tiger and Becky Lee that Zombie Crush took last month. Should have some of them up on the website shortly.

Meat Wagon II & Rat Rod Rockers! Stickers

Completed the basic build of the 1/25th scale Meat Wagon II 1960 Chrysler New Yorker Hearse for the Evil Undead Girlfiend film promo. I still need to finish the tail lights and suspension details. Looks pretty f'n rad!

Also made some new oval stickers for Rat Rod Rockers! These are to sell at the March 26th, 2011 Seattle Premiere & DVD Release Party. Don't want to run out of merchandise at the show!

Meat Wagon II

Did a little work on the 1/25th scale 1960 Chrysler New Yorker Hearse I have been building as a mock-up for Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross. Just need to put in the back window glass, suspension and wheels.

Cusp

Multi-tasking to the max. Compiling Munster Style content, having a meeting with MS Co-Editor Steve Puvogel and taking delivery of Blacktop Deceiver's song for the Munster Style Compilation CD (they are dropping it off). I am also blocking and uploading episodes of Go-Kustom TV to our new Blip.TV page @ http://gokustom.blip.tv. Also sorting through the Zombie Crush pics of BEcky lee and Smookie Tiger for Evil Undead Girlfiend:The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross pre-production film promotion. Tomorrow Heidi Van Horne and Shannon Brooke are shooting promotional pics for another film I am working on Chopper Chicas.

Got word from the pressing plant that the Rat Rod Rockers! DVDs will ship next Monday. The DVD broker also said that the guys in the pressing plant really dug the film! They have to proof the replicated discs for technical reasons at different points and ended up watching the whole movie. A good sign?

"Meat Wagon II"

Started work on the "Meat Wagon II" for Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross. This 1/25th scale model is based on a 1960 Chrysler New Yorker Wagon as opposed to the "Meat Wagon I" that was a 1956 Dodge Wagon. It will be set up exactly the same in a gasser straight axle style with white wall cheater slicks, red interior and gloss black stripe on flat back paint. I really dig the front end and fins on the Chrysler.

Projects Projects Projects

So now that the Rat Rod Rockers! DVD is being pressed and the first round of promotions and ads are set for the film, I have really started digging into the Munster Style CD & publication as well as laying the ground work for two films, Chopper Chicas and Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross. Heidi Van Horne (model) and Shannon Brooke (photographer) are set to do a character development photo shoot for Chopper Chicas on the 27th of February (hey that's also my Birthday!). They have set it up in Skratch's (famous L.A. fabricator/builder) garage with (possibly) two choppers. I will post pics when they are done. Meanwhile- Karen Kougar (who plays the The Baroness) is setting up her photo shoot as Zombie Crush is processing last weeks pics of Smookie Tiger and Becky Lee, both sets for Evil Undead Girlfiend. I still need to get all these projects websites updated and redesigned.

Yesterday I sent out three interview for Munster Style as well as started new file folders for several article sets. We are still waiting for many tracks and contracts to come in for the compilation CD.

I have also started a new Go-Kustom TV Vimeo Channel. The cool thing about Vimeo is you can upload very high quality video clips and then watch them on your home television if you have a Roku player. I am hooked on the Roku ($120 for a mid level box). We have had ours for a month and haven't visited Blockbuster or a Red Box machine since. I can really see why Netflix and others are moving away from the physical DVD Distribution model and to the internet based Video On Demand models.

1956 Dodge "Meat Wagon" Gasser Completed

Finished the first "Meat Wagon" mock-up for Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross. Came out pretty good. Still need a few details and I smeared the gloss black paint stripe on the roof. Sometimes I really need to slow down and let the paint dry before I try gluing things together- ya know?

1956 Dodge "Meat Wagon" Grill

Detailed the grill of the 1/25th scale 1956 Dodge Station Wagon I am building as a mock-up for Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross. Also finished the CD Cover for the Munster Style Issue One Compilation featuring Heidi Van Horne sitting pretty on a primered Merc, Narrowed it down to three designs and waiting for her choices before we post. Looks very cool.

This just in- both CreateSpace and AMG received the Rat Rod Rockers! DVD submasters this morning and the disc is officially in production at two places!

Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross Photoshoot

Had a 10AM photo shoot today with models Smookie Tiger and Becky Lee at the mighty Zombie Crush's (husband and wife photographer team) photo studio for my new film and graphic novel series Evil Undead Girlfiend: The Re-Animation Of Issa Kross. My wife and I shot a few lo-rez behind the scenes pics I am posting here. The girls are portraying Issa Kross and Ingvar Chienne and may possibly star in the movie as well. These character development photo shoots really help design the characters look and attire. Everyone did an excellent job on this one!

Issa Kross Facial Scars

Besides working all day on the Rat Rod Rockers! audio and Soundtrack, I took a few computer breaks to make facial scars for Evil Undead Girlfiend character Issa Kross (portrayed by Smookie Tiger). We are doing an extensive photo shoot for the pre-production character development for the film next week. Using self drying clay- I scrapped grooves into one side of  a small block and let it dry overnight. Then I poured clear latex into the grooves, smearing extra latex on the surface to give a gripping area to pull on once the latex has dried. The first attempt turned out very good. After I pulled the scars from the home-made mold, I simply trimmed the excess latex from around the scars and they were ready to color and then glue to the actors face. Having a mold also enables you to make additional latex scars, if one gets damaged during removal.

Rat Rod Rockers! DVD

Made a 16:9 Widescreen version of the Evil Undead Girlfiend Teaser Trailer as well as my older movie trailers for the Rat Rod Rockers! DVD. I ended up using Compressor to crop and export the files from the original .mov files. Then I added them to the Rat Rod Rockers! DVD with an autostart and First Play Action directed at the trailers on their own track. This will start the trailers before the DVD Main Menu pops up. I know that can be annoying if a DVD has multiple trailers and previews on it, but I added a chapter marker so you can skip one of the two trailers then fast forward the second to quickly get to the Main Menu. These are all things to consider when authoring commercial DVDs. Later I began consolidating Rat Rod Rockers! audio tracks in submix groups. This makes mixing much easier.

Also authored some Evil Undead Girlfiend Promo Trailer DVDs, wrote a song for the Ivan Calls Danika scene in Rat Rod Rockers!, finished an article I was writing about Pin-Up Nikki Dodge and spray painted (in primer) the seats, dash and steering wheel of my 1/25th scale 1956 Dodge Gasser Hearse "Meat Wagon."

Evil Undead Girlfiend & Rat Rod Rockers!

Big day yesterday. Completed the Evil Undead Girlfiend Teaser Trailer and got the link for tickets to the big Rat Rod Rockers! Seattle Premiere & DVD Release Party set. Also found out a national magazine is covering our Rat Rod Rockers! Seattle Premiere. I was contacted by the writer/photographer. Now if we can get the local TV and Newspapers interested, this could be a serious springboard for this film. It really deserves the attention. So now I need to drop the trailers onto the Rat Rod Rockers! DVD and touch up the audio and then send the masters off to the DVD pressing plant. I also need to revamp the Evil Undead Girlfiend website with the new Trailer and updated graphics. I need an intern!
